I have a legit excuse I promise! And here he is... The sweetest, cuddliest, loviest excuse. Jasper Grey Farrington was born into water on August 18th. It was the most gentle and natural birth and the most amazing thing we've ever done in our lives. More details to come, for now just lots and lots of Jaspey photos!









These were all shot the first few days after he was born. He's now 6 weeks old, so stay tuned while we get you up to speed with all his photos!

Mona vs. Mama Raccoon

Our poor little Mona had a run-in with a mean mama raccoon late Sunday night. It was one of the scariest experiences we've ever been thru but she is doing better and will have a super sweet summer haircut. Thank you to everyone for the sweet phone calls and well wishes for her. She is doing better and will be back to her peppy self before we know it. For now she is just resting and recovering.

Strollin'

Sunday we had a nice afternoon watching one of our favorite little ladies. We were able to test out our new and I have to say amazing stroller during our hang time. It strolled us all over SE, on grass, dirt, wood chips, sidewalk. Yup, we're pretty stoked.

Friday Night Movie

Friday night we had a little date and went to dinner and a movie. I love seeing foreign films in the theater. R calls it "reading a movie", but I know he secretly loves it too. We went to see The Secret In Their Eyes and both thought it was fantastic. A little suspense, a little mystery, a little love story. What more could you ask for?

Father's Day Bump

R & I went out to brunch yesterday for his very first Father's Day. The bump is looking large and in charge and we both can't believe we've only got 7 weeks to go! Much of the day was spent relaxing and working on the baby room. At the end of the day R declared "Best Father's Day ever". I have a feeling he'll say that every year ;)

Week 27

Friday marked the end of the 2nd trimester! The final stretch, we're so excited! Friday was gorgeous. Robb had the day off and I took a half day so we could play all afternoon. We should really do that more often...

Making Friends

I love it when I "meet" new people thru blogging. Here is my new (to me) favorite blogger, Lady Bird. Not only does she have the sweetest blog, she is also an AMAZINGLY creative woman. She makes the most beautiful baby quilts and mobiles I have ever seen. I would seriously die for one of these quilts for Baby F. You can check out all her fabulous treats in her shop, Maggie & Sparrow.

And the best part of all?? She's expecting a new little love any day now!!

Reach the Beach

This Saturday my super-cycling husband will participate in his first major road ride!! I can't even tell you how proud I am of him. He's been working so hard training and getting in shape, he's gonna do so great. The ride is a hundred miles from here to the Oregon coast, so crazy. I wish I could be biking by his side (well it's usually more like WAY behind him), but I definitely will next year after I don't have a big belly in the way ;)

Mona & I will be meeting him at the finish line to cheer (lick) him across. But before that we'll be spending some lovely time with our toes (paws) in the sand and surf.

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl

Today our Mona-bug turns 3. I really can't believe it. It seems just like yesterday that we brought her home from the humane society. She is the sweetest, most lovable girl we know and we couldn't think of a more perfect dog for us. Happy Birthday Mon-ster, lots of treats and snuggle time tonight in your honor. Rockabye Baby!

Ever since I stumbled upon these, I've been wanting them so badly for Baby F. I just love the thought of our little one dozing off to a lullaby of Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley or Radiohead. They have SO many to choose from.

So how surprised was I when Robb started playing them for me last night! What a sweet boy he is. This is one lucky baby to have such a cool Daddy already.
