Beckel Canvas Products

My sweet husband knows me all too well. I've been drooling over these bags ever since we moved to the SE. (Their shop is right up the street) So for my birthday this year I got the tote and ditty bag (or dopp kit, if you don't know my family's lingo). So great for the market, travel, beach, baby stuff and just everyday use! The handmade quality really shows and I just love the leather detailing. Good job baby!

You can buy them at Canoe

The Lately

We're doing all kinds of crazy stuff around here lately! Sitting up, swinging, highchairs in restaurants... The best one of all? Saying Dada. We're more in love than ever.

Holton Rower

Thanks to R I have a new favorite artist. Not too far off from the methods and materials that I use, yet so much more complex and fantastic than my paintings. Truly inspirational. Not to mention his sculpture... check him out here.

Mountain Getaway

Last weekend we grabbed some snowshoes & snowboards and headed up to Mt Hood for a little V-day getaway. Sun, snow, chili, hottubbin', corderoy & a great date on the hill with my Valentine. What more could a girl ask for?

Where the Sidewalk Ends

Speaking of fantastic drawings... One of R's favorite books growing up was Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. I had never heard of it (the look of horror on his face), but it has quick become one of my favorites, as well as JG's. We try to read some of the tales to him every night and they always leave us with big smiles on our faces. His imagination and illustrations are so magnificent. Here is one of our favorites:

Hug O' War

I will not play at tug o' war
I'd rather play at hug o' war
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug
Where everyone kisses
And everyone grins
And everyone cuddles
And everyone wins.

Radio Silence

Ok, so I've been a REALLY bad blogger lately. But I'm SO SO sorry and I promise from now on I'll be making it up to you BIG time! Does this super duper cute photo of my beautiful baby make it all better? Thought so... Ok let's get back to it!

Bitches Be Crazy

Parks & Rec has become one of our favorite shows. Even though they are all re-runs right now, I hadn't seen last nights episode. Both Robb and I were pretty close to peeing our pants with this scene...

Strollin'

Sunday we had a nice afternoon watching one of our favorite little ladies. We were able to test out our new and I have to say amazing stroller during our hang time. It strolled us all over SE, on grass, dirt, wood chips, sidewalk. Yup, we're pretty stoked.

Friday Night Movie

Friday night we had a little date and went to dinner and a movie. I love seeing foreign films in the theater. R calls it "reading a movie", but I know he secretly loves it too. We went to see The Secret In Their Eyes and both thought it was fantastic. A little suspense, a little mystery, a little love story. What more could you ask for?

Father's Day Bump

R & I went out to brunch yesterday for his very first Father's Day. The bump is looking large and in charge and we both can't believe we've only got 7 weeks to go! Much of the day was spent relaxing and working on the baby room. At the end of the day R declared "Best Father's Day ever". I have a feeling he'll say that every year ;)

Week 27

Friday marked the end of the 2nd trimester! The final stretch, we're so excited! Friday was gorgeous. Robb had the day off and I took a half day so we could play all afternoon. We should really do that more often...
