My sweet husband knows me all too well. I've been drooling over these bags ever since we moved to the SE. (Their shop is right up the street) So for my birthday this year I got the tote and ditty bag (or dopp kit, if you don't know my family's lingo). So great for the market, travel, beach, baby stuff and just everyday use! The handmade quality really shows and I just love the leather detailing. Good job baby!

The Lately

We're doing all kinds of crazy stuff around here lately! Sitting up, swinging, highchairs in restaurants... The best one of all? Saying Dada. We're more in love than ever.

Mountain Getaway

Last weekend we grabbed some snowshoes & snowboards and headed up to Mt Hood for a little V-day getaway. Sun, snow, chili, hottubbin', corderoy & a great date on the hill with my Valentine. What more could a girl ask for?

Where the Sidewalk Ends

Speaking of fantastic drawings... One of R's favorite books growing up was Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. I had never heard of it (the look of horror on his face), but it has quick become one of my favorites, as well as JG's. We try to read some of the tales to him every night and they always leave us with big smiles on our faces. His imagination and illustrations are so magnificent. Here is one of our favorites:

Sunday morning brunch...

I have a legit excuse I promise! And here he is... The sweetest, cuddliest, loviest excuse. Jasper Grey Farrington was born into water on August 18th. It was the most gentle and natural birth and the most amazing thing we've ever done in our lives. More details to come, for now just lots and lots of Jaspey photos!

We're really getting excited to meet this little dude. Especially Mona.

Mona vs. Mama Raccoon

Our poor little Mona had a run-in with a mean mama raccoon late Sunday night. It was one of the scariest experiences we've ever been thru but she is doing better and will have a super sweet summer haircut. Thank you to everyone for the sweet phone calls and well wishes for her. She is doing better and will be back to her peppy self before we know it. For now she is just resting and recovering.

Father's Day Bump

R & I went out to brunch yesterday for his very first Father's Day. The bump is looking large and in charge and we both can't believe we've only got 7 weeks to go! Much of the day was spent relaxing and working on the baby room. At the end of the day R declared "Best Father's Day ever". I have a feeling he'll say that every year ;)

Shower time!

Two of our great friends are throwing us a baby shower this weekend. We are so excited to see everyone, especially in their best baby blues. Thank you SF & SK, you girls rock my world. xxoo

Friday marked the end of the 2nd trimester! The final stretch, we're so excited! Friday was gorgeous. Robb had the day off and I took a half day so we could play all afternoon. We should really do that more often...
