This Saturday was Robb's annual 100 mile ride from Portland to the Oregon coast. It's the 3rd year he's done the ride, but the 1st time that we stayed the weekend. We'll definitely do that again! It was such an awesome time, just in case you can't tell by this photo.

Mountain Getaway
Last weekend we grabbed some snowshoes & snowboards and headed up to Mt Hood for a little V-day getaway. Sun, snow, chili, hottubbin', corderoy & a great date on the hill with my Valentine. What more could a girl ask for?

Mona vs. Mama Raccoon
Our poor little Mona had a run-in with a mean mama raccoon late Sunday night. It was one of the scariest experiences we've ever been thru but she is doing better and will have a super sweet summer haircut. Thank you to everyone for the sweet phone calls and well wishes for her. She is doing better and will be back to her peppy self before we know it. For now she is just resting and recovering.

Reach the Beach
This Saturday my super-cycling husband will participate in his first major road ride!! I can't even tell you how proud I am of him. He's been working so hard training and getting in shape, he's gonna do so great. The ride is a hundred miles from here to the Oregon coast, so crazy. I wish I could be biking by his side (well it's usually more like WAY behind him), but I definitely will next year after I don't have a big belly in the way ;)
Mona & I will be meeting him at the finish line to cheer (lick) him across. But before that we'll be spending some lovely time with our toes (paws) in the sand and surf.

For more info check it out here. If you'd like to donate, you can click on "find a rider" and type in Robb Farrington. The American Lung Association is such a wonderful cause.

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl
Today our Mona-bug turns 3. I really can't believe it. It seems just like yesterday that we brought her home from the humane society. She is the sweetest, most lovable girl we know and we couldn't think of a more perfect dog for us. Happy Birthday Mon-ster, lots of treats and snuggle time tonight in your honor. (her 2 favorite things)

Sundays with Mona
You can't tell me that she is not the cutest thing you've ever seen. Not to mention I think she gets cooler and cooler everyday. Although she's clearly not entertained by my morning antics...

Just Another Love Story
I've been wanting to see this since it was in the theaters. It's up next in our netflix queue and I'm so looking forward to watching it this weekend. Has anyone seen it? Is it as great as I think it's going to be?

e next 30 days. We've loved this neighborhood for a long time, so we're excited get over there and discover a new side of PDX.We've been so spoiled living on such a great street with such great friends/neighbors right there. The house hasn't been too bad either. Its had some hiccups, but all worth dealing with for the view and big yard. I think the thing I'll miss the most is those amazing sunrises that we wake up to almost every morning.
Either way, we'll be sad to leave Hammy T, we've really loved it there. Good thing we have a sweet little guest house to stay in anytime we want to visit!

Thanks.
Thanksgiving might just be my favorite holiday. Cooking, eating, drinking friends, family... Does it get much better than that? There's no pressure of gift buying, crazy holiday shopping, it's all just about coming together with the people that are most imp
ortant to you and being grateful for what fortunate lives we all live.
This will be our second year hosting and we can't wait. I love the feeling of having our home filled with our greatest friends, everyone so happy to be together, all the yummy smells from the kitchen. I know, I know, I'm totally cheesing out right now, but it really is such a wonderful time. There will be 12 of us this year which is perfect considering that's about all our table can hold. Everyone is bringing a tasty dish or 2 and a bottle of wine for the table. Robb & I will be heading up the turkey & mashies (Robb's a master mashie maker) again this year, sure to be yummier than ever!
So wherever you are and whomever you're with, Happy Thanksgiving from Mia, Robb & Mona!

Wedding Pix
We were finally able to finish looking thru our wedding pix the other night. They are so amazing and we couldn't be happier with HVK as our photographer. She & her assistant Heather were so great with all of us and captured some wonderful shots.

APTS
With trying to figure out what to do about our living situation, we've been entertain lots of different ideas. We're just not sure if buying right now is the best idea, especially with the economy the way it is and who knows when or if its going to get better...
Anyway, we have to take into consideration living in an apartment again. This apartment that I found on sfbaygirl's blog makes it not seem so bad:

First 5k
I wrote about train
ing for a 5k before and the time has come for the first one! After 3 months of training, (man that flew by!) I'm ready to get my 3.2 miles on. This Saturday at 10am Mona & I will be at Mt. Tabor Park ready to run our little butts off. Robb might join us and do the walk instead.
Come join us if you're up for it!
Next mission, 10k on August 9th. Think I can do it?
